Class presentation in a few minutes

Choose what your class is like and I'll prepare a well-ordered text for the starting situation. You edit it, copy it, download it in Word or PDF. The text is generated in Italian, for Italian schools.

Your class. You choose, I write.

No names, please. They're not needed here: don't write names, initials or details that could identify a pupil, especially for special educational needs. What you choose stays on your device.

Class presentation examples

Two examples written with this tool, in Italian like the text it generates. They're made-up classes: use them as inspiration, then describe yours.

Example 1 · Lower secondary, lively class

Example 2 · Primary, bands in a paragraph

What to write in the starting situation

Who the class is. School level, class and section, number of pupils, any new arrivals and teacher continuity.

How they get on together. Class atmosphere, participation and behaviour: a few clear sentences, without judging individual people.

Where it starts from. The ability bands that emerged from entry tests and observation, and what the study method is like.

What you'll do. The strategies you'll use to respond to the needs that emerged: cooperation, tutoring, support and enrichment, hands-on workshop teaching.

Ability bands: how to describe them

Usually four bands are used: high, upper-middle, middle e low. For each one I write how many pupils there are and a description in words: knowledge, skills and independence in work. No marks, so the text works for primary and secondary.

If the sum of the bands doesn't match the number of pupils, I'll point it out. If the bands have different names at your school, you can correct the text by hand.

Privacy: what not to write

The class presentation ends up in shared documents: better not to write names, initials, diagnoses or family details. For pupils with special educational needs general terms are enough; the details belong in confidential documents, such as the PEI and the PDP.

This tool never asks you for names and sends nothing online: the text is created and stays in your browser.

Frequently asked questions

What should I write in the class presentation?

How the class is made up, the class atmosphere, participation and behaviour, entry levels by band, the study method, any special educational needs in general terms and the strategies you'll use. The tool puts it all in order for you.

Does it work for primary and secondary school?

Yes. Choose primary, lower secondary or upper secondary: the available classes and some sentences change; for example in primary I talk about independence in work instead of study method.

How are ability bands described?

With the number of pupils per band (high, upper-middle, middle, low) and a sentence on knowledge, skills and independence. You can have them as a list or in a single paragraph.

Can I write pupils' names or SEN cases?

No, and there's no need. The tool doesn't ask for names; for special educational needs use only general terms, and possibly a number if the class is large enough not to make anyone identifiable.

Is the text written with artificial intelligence?

No. I wrote a set of sentences with several variants; your browser combines them based on your choices. Nothing is sent: with “Another version” you get different words.

What format can I save it in?

You can copy it, download it as a Word file (.docx) that also opens in LibreOffice or Google Docs, or save it as a PDF from the browser's print option.
